Open Meditation : To Be Fully Alive

"To be fully alive, fully human, and completely awake is to be continually thrown out of the nest." -Pema Chodron

To be fully alive is to experience the full range of human emotions. Love, heartache, joy, fear, longing, hope, loneliness, elation, it is all a part of the human experience. What does it mean to live fully alive, and how can we drink in the fullness of the present moment no matter what is in our path? In our meditation we will make effort to recognize our barriers to experiencing life fully awake and set the intention to experience life to it's fullest, whatever that means.

This meditation will be facilitated by regular participant, Heidi Moonwolf! As we have in the past, we will sit for two 20 minute sessions with a discussion before and after. The sessions of sitting meditation will be broken up by silent walking. Those new to meditation are welcome to join and explore this practice.

A request has been made that the meditation be kid-free so that parents in need of quiet can have a space of refuge.

Child care available! Children will be supervised at the Whetstone Library by an experienced caregiver. The cost of $10-an-hour care will be shared by all who need it. If you need kid care please plan ahead by contacting Seth at seth.josephson@gmail.com or text to 614-499-3350 for a spot.

Sound Therapy workshop with Renee Cruz

This workshop is different. This workshop is for YOU! We must balance ourselves with giving and receiving. If we are giving a lot, we must receive just as much. However, with our busy lifestyles and financial restrictions, most of us are limited to what we can engage ourselves with and who we can see on a professional level in order to heal and grow. This is something that you can change NOW. You can use this personal Sound Therapy kit in between being seen by your Sound Practitioner, Reiki Master, Acupuncture Therapist, Counselor, or massage therapist. When you leave these people and spaces, you probably feel good for a few days, everything is looking positive and you are seeing things in a new light. Then the effects start to wear after a little while, not due to any reason other than life. Now, you can ensure that your progress holds in between sessions or create a new awareness for yourself.

Become committed to your own journey and healing. You are worth it! You are the only one who can heal you! No one else can do it except for you. This workshop gives you the tools, both physical and spiritual, to put in your toolbox and use when needed. Learn how to use sound to increase the vitality of your aura, relief of stress by decreasing cortisol in your blood, increase the balance and quality of the water, and water based foods you consume, and clear and cleanse a space, ALL BY THE USE OF SOUND!

Many of us feel a calling to tap into our sacred nature, yet we are also seeking guidance; manners of practicing and integrating the profound revelations and transformational experiences we have had in our journey in healthy lasting ways. This workshop series will assist those who wish to dive deeper into spiritual exploration with helpful tools and a supportive community to share their discoveries with.

All paths are welcome. No prerequisites of any kind are needed. If you have ideas or suggestions for future workshop topics, we'd love to hear your thoughts. Please post a comment on this page or send an email to either of the email addresses listed below.

We are honored to walk with you on this journey and look onward with great joy in knowing that never again do we have to face these challenges of healing and growth alone, as we are of one human family. We believe the health and well-being of every single one of us ~ matters to ALL of us. So we welcome you with open hearts to the Embracing the Journey Monthly workshop series.

Please feel free to invite friends! All are welcome.

Healing Workshop, From the Wounded Father to the Sacred Pipe

The Restoration of the Sacred Masculine, lead by Christopher Reynolds, M.Ed. With the ongoing meltdown of patriarchal structures occurring around us, a post-patriarchal activism which separates and celebrates the masculine away from patriarchy is being called forth in both men and women. In story-telling, music, and ritual, this workshop is a healing journey that follows the threads of recovery through the 12 steps, dreams, spiritual emergency, Earth-based spiritual practice and lives of fathers and sons. We will journey together into a masculine capacity to feel the Earth, the Ancestors, the Spirit, and generously participate in the 13.7 billion year old expanding universe. Christopher Reynolds is a teacher, adjunct professor in creativity, religious studies and art, a musician and shaman. Open to both men and women. $30 registration fee.
