TALK BY GRETCHEN COCHRAN

Sunday, July 26
13 East Tulane Rd
7:30 pm

Artist Gretchen Cochran will speak about her sculptural work and most recent project, travels and upcoming exhibition at the Springfield Museum of Art. She states the project developed “from my memory of a visit to a small market center in Guinea, West Africa where I was awestruck by the beauty, importance and futility of a ritual of daily life, which supports the community even though it does not apparently result in commerce as we know it.”
